Be Still, O My Soul
04:23
|
|||
God is our refuge; He is our strength,
A very present help in troubled times.
We will not tremble, though the earth gives way,
Though the mountains fall into the roaring sea.
There is a river whose streams make us glad,
For God dwells with His people; He is our strength.
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
He will be exalted. He will be exalted.
The kingdoms totter, the nations rage,
But when He speaks the earth melts away.
Behold His power, the Prince of peace:
He breaks the bow, He makes wars to cease.
There is a river whose streams make us glad,
For God dwells with His people; He is our strength.
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
He will be exalted. You will be exalted, O Lord.
I know that You are God. I know that You are God.
You will be exalted. You will be exalted, O Lord.
Among the people, among the nations, exalted in the earth!
Among the people, among the nations, exalted, O Lord!
Among the people, among the nations, exalted in the earth!
Among the people, among the nations, exalted, O Lord!
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
Be still, O my soul, and know that He is God.
He will be exalted. He will be exalted.

Approach, my soul, the mercy seat,
Where Jesus answers prayer;
There humbly fall before His feet,
For none can perish there.
Thy promise is my only plea,
With this I venture nigh;
Thou callest burdened souls to Thee,
And such, O Lord, am I.
Bowed down beneath a load of sin,
By Satan sorely pressed,
By war without and fears within,
I come to Thee for rest.
Be Thou my shield and hiding place,
That sheltered by Thy side,
I may my fierce accuser face,
And tell him Thou hast died!
O wondrous love! to bleed and die,
To bear the cross of shame,
That guilty sinners, such as I,
Might plead Thy gracious name.
"Poor tempest-tossed soul, be still;
My promised grace receive";
'Tis Jesus speaks—I must, I will,
I can, I do believe.
'Tis Jesus speaks—I must, I will,
I can, I do believe.
Approach, my soul, the mercy seat,
Where Jesus answers prayer;
There humbly fall before His feet,
For none can perish there.

(based on the Gospel according to John)
When Jesus walked the earth, he made very bold claims.
He said, “I am the bread from heaven.
If you eat my flesh you will live.” (6:35-51)
“I am the light of the world to lead you out of darkness.” (8:12, 9:5)
He said, “I am the door of the sheep. Enter through me.” (10:7-9)
He said, “I am the good shepherd.
I lay down my life for the sheep.” (10:11-18)
And when Martha said my brother will rise, He said,
“I am the resurrection and the life.” (11:24-26)
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father but through me.” (14:6)
“I am the true vine. Every branch must abide in me.” (15:1-5)
How can we know He spoke the truth?
Tell me, now, what did He do?
Jesus did many, many signs, but these seven will suffice
For you to believe He is the Son of God, He is the Christ.
He turned water into wine. (2:1-11)
He healed an official’s dying son. (4:46-54)
A man who was lame stood up and walked. (5:1-15)
He fed a multitude with just a few loaves. (6:5-13)
To a man born blind He gave sight. (9:1-7)
Lazarus he called back to life. (11:1-44)
And when they crucified Jesus for the things that He said,
on the third day he rose, He rose from the dead! (20:1-29)
The woman at the well said, “I know that when Christ comes . . .”
He said, “I am. (4:26)
As he walked on the waves, He said, “Be not afraid. I am.” (6:20)
“Unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.” (8:24)
“When you have lifted up the Son of Man,
then you will know that I am.” (8:28)
“Before Abraham was, I am.” (8:58)
“I have told you these things so that when they come to pass,
you may know that I am.” (13:19)
So, “Whom do you seek? Whom do you seek? I am.” (18:4-8)
(20:31-32)
These signs were seen. These signs were seen,
and they are written that you may believe.
They are written that you may believe
that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God,
And that by believing you may have life in His name.
By believing, you may have life in His name.
By believing, you may have life in His name.

4. |

You open the eyes of a man born blind,
For in You, Lord, is the light of life.
You can give us sight, You can give us sight.
Jesus, light of the world, lead us out of the darkness;
Jesus, light of the world, open our eyes to see You.
We will walk in the light if we follow You.
If we abide in Your word, we will know the truth,
And the truth will set us free, the truth will set us free.
Jesus, You came that the seeing may be blinded;
Jesus, You came that the blind may see.
If we keep Your word, we will not see death.
If we look on You, You will raise us up.
You can give us life, You can give us life!

Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus
04:05
|
|||
Since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses,
Let us lay aside each weight,
Lay aside the sin that so easily entangles us,
And run the race.
Let us run with endurance the race set before us,
Run with endurance, fixing our eyes.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Author, Perfecter of our faith,
Fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Let us run this race.
Let us look to Jesus, who for the joy set before Him
Endured the shame of the cross.
Now He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
At the throne of God.
Let us run with endurance the race set before us,
Run with endurance, fixing our eyes.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Author, Perfecter of our faith,
Fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Let us run this race, run this race
With our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Author, Perfecter of our faith.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ,
Let us run this race.
Consider Him, who shed His blood, shed his blood,
That you may not grow faint.
Consider Him, our risen Lord, our risen Lord,
That you may not grow weary.
Consider Him, consider Him.

Fully Set Your Hope
04:47
|
|||
Fully set your hope, O church,
On the grace that He will bring you
When Christ Jesus is revealed,
When our Savior comes to earth again.
He will return. He will return.
Set your hope upon the grace
Of your body raised in glory
In the likeness of our Lord
When our Savior comes to earth again.
Set your hope upon the grace
Of your full, complete adoption,
Sons and daughters, heirs of God,
When our Savior comes to earth again.
He will return. He will return.
He will return, for His word is faithful.
He will return.
Set your hope upon the grace
Of a perfect new creation
In which righteousness shall dwell
When our Savior comes to earth again.
Set your hope upon the grace
Of His peace throughout the nations
As He reigns forevermore
When our Savior comes to earth again.
Set your hope upon this grace
On your final great salvation
Kept in heaven till the day
When our Savior comes to earth again.
|
||||
7. |
||||
Jesus will come to earth again
to judge the living and the dead;
All those He knows shall enter into His new creation.
He is not slow in His return;
this is the patience of our Lord.
For He desires that none should perish but reach repentance.
These are the days of mercy to the nations
Before the great day of the Lord.
These are the days to proclaim His salvation
As we wait for His return.
We are waiting for His new creation.
We are waiting on His word, new heavens and new earth.
We are waiting for His new creation,
Forever good, forever good.
Martyrs in heaven cry out, “How long
‘til You bring justice, Holy God?
‘Til sin is finally expelled from Your creation?”
Forever good, forever good.
The dwelling of God shall be with His people
As the river of life flows out from His throne.
There will be no more death, no more sorrow.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
The dwelling of God shall be with His people
As heaven and earth at last are as one.
His presence will be the light of creation.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
We are waiting for Your new creation.
We are waiting for You, Lord, waiting for You, Lord.
We are waiting for the consummation,
Come, Lord Jesus, come.

We Are Children of God
03:43
|
|||
Beloved, we are children of God;
What we shall become has yet to appear.
We are children of God;
What we shall become has yet to appear.
When He appears, we will be like Jesus; we will be transformed.
For we shall see Him just as He is; we shall see our Lord.
All who have this hope purify themselves.
All who hope in Him are becoming pure.
All who have this hope purify themselves.
All who hope in Him are becoming pure, as He is pure.

Jude Doxology
02:53
|
|||
Now to Him who can make you stand,
Keep your feet from stumbling,
Make you stand with abounding joy
In His presence, spotless, pure,
To Him glory, majesty, power and authority.
Unto Him, the only God,
He who saves us through His Son,
Before time and age to age,
Now and through eternity,
Be the glory, majesty, power and authority.
Amen.
